Well, I was going to show you ...

a creation that I designed myself and am VERY proud of but then.... I realized that the Giftee reads my blog so I can't. Rats.

That being said, here are a few pics of yummy yarn and some snow to tide you over.

Above: STR Terra Firma in heavyweight, Roctoberfest in heavy, and Chanticleer in medium. I'm planning on making Bonne Marie's Bucket hat out of the Terra Firma to go with my Chocolate Brown winter coat.

Above: Jinglebell Rock sooooo pretty! I'm thinking Christmas socks for my Auntie who's a Christmas Elf in the very core of her being.
Above: this color is County Clare and the photo doesn't do the beautiful colors justice. They're much bluer that you can see here. It's medium weight and I must have been thinking that I would make another pair of Knee socks, but someone suggested making a lace something out of it. The question is now, What Lace and How do you think Superwash would work for something like that....?

Above: yet ANOTHER two hanks of Mediumweight, color Dutch Canyon. SOOO pretty!! I just LOVE the pink and green combo. What does that say about me?

Finally, above: Dreidel. Also known in my house as Swedish Flag colors. Love this colorway too....

So, yeah, I went a little overboard in the STR shopping last month. But, since I went so overboard, I kind of scared myself and I haven't made any yarn purchases since. For that, I'm proud. I mean, yeah, I'll admit it, I'm an addict and I have a problem. I think I'm finally getting to the point where I'm reaching capacity.... never mind. I know that's a lie. But I haven't had any yarn shipped to work for at least a month!!!

I know I promised some snow pics too, so here are my favorite two:

In the first, I didn't even see the female cardinal behind the male when I snapped the pic.

In the second, you all get a gratuitous "Kitty Footwarmer" pic. This cat is IN LOVE with socks. This is not the Sock Eater Kitty. This one will just make out with any foot encased in a sock.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to join you all at GROUP tonight. But just in case you've never been and would like to join a lovely and hilarious bunch of ladies, GROUP meets at

Border's Books and Music
3232 Lake Ave (Edens Plaza at the corner of Lake and Skokie)
Wilmette, IL
from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm

Hope you can make it!!

Beautiful yarn stashing expedition you had there Jen. :o) I've been stashing a bit, too.

Oh lovely photo of the Cardinals. A Winter Wren came to our garden a few weeks ago. She comes every year now.

That's alot of gorgeous yarn! And I love the kitty pic -- my dog used to do that, too. Pets make great foot warmers :)
